A strategic name change highlights the ambition of Van Gool Elburg. Two years after its acquisition, the Dutch real estate player will continue under the name Dils. CEO of the Dutch arm of Dils, Ron van den Berge explains: “This is a logical next step in our international growth strategy.”
Back in 2023, the news was already out: Van Gool Elburg Vastgoedspecialisten became part of the Italian Dils Group. Dils Group is an international real estate advisor with offices across various European cities, including Milan, Rome, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve, Barcelona, and Madrid. “Dils and Van Gool Elburg are a great match,” says CEO Ron van den Berge. “We’re both driven to make a difference and do things differently, empowered by Dils’ unique data and technology. Building strong relationships, networks, and communities is essential, because we can’t do this alone.”
A Logical Step Forward
Now, two years later, it’s time for the next step: a name change. From now on, Van Gool Elburg will operate entirely under the name Dils. Van den Berge explains why this is such a natural progression: “In 2023, we deliberately chose to keep our name for a while. Van Gool Elburg is a well-known name in the world of commercial real estate, especially in the Amsterdam region. But now, it’s widely known that we’ve joined Dils, and it’s time to bring out the international character of Dils more prominently. We’ve gradually evolved from Van Gool Elburg into Dils.”
Ambitions for the Future
A new name, but just as much ambition. Regarding future plans, Van den Berge says: “At the European level, Dils aims to expand beyond Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands. Looking at the Dutch market specifically, we want to broaden our focus beyond the office market to include logistics and residential sectors. In all of these segments, we aim to become a leading real estate player in Amsterdam. Over the longer term, we also have the ambition to take on such a role elsewhere in the Netherlands. The Dils approach, innovative, data-driven, and people-oriented, will be our engine for growth.”
